Job Description

This position is responsible for the overall management of the warehouse. The position will also assist in the dispatch of local and long-haul operations.

• Managing household goods and warehouse customers. Set up accounts. Making sure shipments are properly stored and locations accounted for in warehouse
• Making sure all documentation is in order
• Assisting in loading and unloading of shipments
• Managing commercial storage. Checking in and out materials for customers. Reporting any loss or damage to materials. Assist in reporting of account activity
• Manage all warehouse operations
• Maintain a clean orderly warehouse
• Arrive every day to work in company approved uniform
• Inspecting all vehicles every day and filling out a daily vehicle inspection report
• Assist in vehicle repairs, licensing, DOT inspections, permits and preventative maintenance
• Manage all labor working in the warehouses
• Perform office and industrial moves and deliveries
• Perform transportation of local, intrastate, interstate, and international household goods
• Provide accurate logs in a timely manner according to company policy
• Provide detailed reports of expenses in correlation with cash advances that were made

Requirements

• Capable of working independently
• Must be able to complete detailed reports for billing purposes
• Customer service skills
• Valid Class A Driver’s License with airbrakes and two years’ experience transporting goods and qualifications with
• Basic math knowledge including addition subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Ability to move/lift heavy objects
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Basic reasoning skills
• Willingness to cross-train with all Driver and Helper peers
