Sr. Production Planner, Contract Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities include:

• Maintain the team MPS (Master Production Schedule) for all core SKUs and promotional items.
• Collaborate with Demand and Supply Planning teams, internal and external logistics partners, and multiple warehouse personnel to understand and assess order timing in relation to available capacities.
• Implement production schedules for finished goods and/or bulk, taking sales forecasts, manufacturing backlogs, and delivery deadlines into account at all times.
• Be responsible for constant understanding of the status of each production timeline, including analysis of all dependency lead times (i.e., raw material status, priority of all open orders, manufacturing delays, shipping timelines, etc.)
• Assist in the analysis of QA and production capacity of our contract manufacturing partners, and in the capacity and labor plans for our internal assembly team.
• Record lot numbers and associated data (expiration date, for each bulk production batch. Performing assembly build outs to consume inventory at CM’s.
• Source and vet contract manufacturing facilities as needed
• Quote new products, negotiate existing products, and determine alternate sourcing for best financial/quality outcome
• Manage QA processes and SOPs for all finished goods and bulk, ensuring all vendors comply with Sunday Riley quality standards
• Familiarity with root cause analysis in instances of product quality failure
• Management of up to 3 KPI projects per year

Requirements

• BA/BS with 7 years’ experience in Production Planning/contract manufacturing management, preferably in the cosmetic, personal care, or other CPG industries
• Familiarity with quality requirements, FDA regulations, and OTC cosmetic requirements
• Experience with NetSuite preferred but not required
• Ability to troubleshoot and respond to problems and non-routine events
• Proven track record in managing changes while still meeting deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Effective organization and planning skills
• Meticulous attention to detail, dependability, ability to work independently
• The ability to remain focused and calm in the face of tight and changing timelines
