POSITION SUMMARY: The purpose of the Specialist, Depack Chemist is to segregate chemicals by waste categories. Work with TSDF Technicians in a warehouse environment. PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES: Unpack chemicals from drums. Segregate chemicals by waste categories. Determine which chemicals can be safely bulked/consolidated. Bulk/consolidate chemicals while using personal protective and respiratory protective equipment. Administrative functions including creating packing lists, QA/QC documents, and waste tracking. Repackage chemicals as per the final disposal facility specifications PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 4yr degree with a major in sciences preferred Pass a Pre-Employment Physical, Drug Screen and Alcohol testing Pass a Pre-Employment Background Screening Pass the OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour training MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience
