Shipping & Receiving Coordinator
Handles all aspects of shipping and receiving product, as well as staging material, in both the raw and finished good state. Utilizes fork trucks and hand carts to load and unload pallets on and off trucks.
Coordinates shipping requirements with internal and external customers
Reviews daily ship list and product expected to ship
Load and unload product from various shipping companies (UPS/FEDEX/PARCELS and various over the road LTL trucking companies, as well as outside service vendors)
Utilizes fork trucks and hand carts to load and unload pallets on and off trucks.
Conducts visual and manual inspections on incoming raw material
Uses manual, electric power, and pneumatic tools and gages to conduct inspections
Compares Raw Material Certifications to the customer specifications
Stages material to be used on the floor or for further inspections
Utilizes computer based software to set up Advanced Shipping Notices (ASN) and other documents as needed for shipping
Wrap, band, palletize, and label product as needed in a safe manor for transition throughout shop and export
Conducts inventory counts of raw material, finished goods, and consumable products
As the Shipping and Receiving Coordinator, it is expected that the dress code is followed items include but not limited to uniform shirt, steel toe boots/shoes, hearing and eye protection etc. The position operates within the shop and warehouse buildings and from an office setting in the shipping area. The role routinely uses Fork truck, Hand Carts, hand tools, and standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, and filing cabinets. The position will be exposed to the outdoor elements while traveling between the various buildings.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must lift up to fifty (50) lbs. occasionally and use overhead cranes.
Education/ Experience
High School Diploma/ GED Equivalent
Experience in Logistics Shipping and Receiving
Loading and unloading trucks safely
Valid Drivers License, preferably a CDL B
Skills/ Abilities
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Attentive to detail; organized
Able to multitask
Position Type/ Expected Hours of Work
Full time
Monday – Thursday 8:00am – 4:30pm Friday 6:00am -2:30pm, and Saturday occasionally on an as needed basis
Able to work overtime if available
