We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager IT Audit and Data Analytics to join our Internal Audit Risk and Compliance team. The Senior Manager IT Audit and Data Analytics will deliver independent, objective assurance and advisory/consulting services designed to improve Zendesk’s operations and financial position. This includes assuring Zendesk is positioned to achieve its strategic objectives and promoting sustainable, efficient and effective financial reporting, business controls and processes. The Senior Manager will serve a key role in the Internal Audit Department leading and collaborating with IT Management and the third party internal and external audit teams. This position will be responsible for addressing needs specific to the planning, organizing, staffing, directing and controlling of IT audits and the data analytics needs of the Internal Audit Department. This role is key to accomplishing the transition to the long-term vision for internal audit. Responsibilities include collaborating with all levels of management and third party internal and external audit teams on SOX and operational audits and to improve utilization of data analysis for business decisions while reducing the complexity, cost, and risks to the organization. The Senior Manager must be able to execute the Internal Audit IT SOX and audit plan, lead teams of internal and co-sourced audits, train and mentor auditor and stay up to date with changes in the IT landscape and evolving risks. Job Duties Lead internal audit’s data analytics strategy and initiatives including supporting all functional areas of Internal Audit including IT SOX, executing operational audits, investigations, process and control assessments, leading the annual assessment of the Company’s IT risks and developing and growing a data analytics strategy Analyze company information to provide insights and foresight by acquiring data and information directly from the key systems used by the company Build reports for internal teams Collaborate with team members to collect and analyze data Use graphs, infographics and other methods to visualize data Establish KPIs, scoreboards and dashboards to enable and measure business decisions, process, and controls Structure large data sets to find usable information Communication with Finance and Operations regarding business, plans, and projects – scope, objectives, findings, recommendation, and management response Execute internal audits reviews of the Company’s IT and information security policies, procedures, and processes to ensure reliability and integrity of information, proper recording of transactions, safeguarding of assets, compliance with policies and procedures, achievement of operational goals and objectives, and effective and efficient use of resources Continuously improve internal audit approaches, tools and methodologies, and productivity Background 10+ years of experience (IT, IT audit, Cyber Security, accounting, risk, regulatory, Sarbanes-Oxley, auditing, financial reporting, COSO, and/or compliance) No less than 8 years of internal audit or external experience required 3+ years of data analysis experience 3+ years of experience working with data analytics tools and NetSuite or other ERP systems from a transactional or technical perspective General technical skills preferred in using: NetSuite/Oracle, Azure SQL Datawarehouse, ACL, Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, Excel, Access, Visio, PowerPoint, Word, Audit Board and SharePoint Demonstrable record of coordinating with multiple departments and remote locations to achieve business objectives Proven record of effective management, including planning and decision-making, identifying priorities and bringing projects to successful completion in a timely manner; and maintaining a focus on high standards and quality Proven ability to implement creative solutions Proven ability to take accountability and takes initiative and is self-directed Strong analytical, critical thinking and organizational skills – works well with data to draw business conclusions Ability to excel in a team environment working both within the department and on cross-functional teams to solve multi-faceted business issues Ability to set and meet deadlines Required Skills Good understanding of SOX, IT GC, core auditing and audit documentation requirements Coding skills in languages such as SQL, Python, and Java Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and writing macros Reporting and data visualization skills using software like Tableau, Power BI, QlikView Understanding of data warehousing and ETL techniques Knowledge of data gathering, cleaning and transforming data techniques ERP system expertise: NetSuite required, Oracle, others will be considered Analytical and problem-solving skills Great teammate Excellent written and verbal communication skills Solid project management, organizational and presentation skills Confident working with individuals across various levels of the organization Bachelor’s Degree required (Computing, Data Analysis, Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, etc.) 5-8+ years of deep technical experience working in the information technology field Applicable certifications a plus: CISA, CISM, CISSP, CEH, CIA Preferred experience: public company and Big 4 SAAS other related experiences are preferred
