Safety and Facilities Supervisor

The Safety and Facilities Supervisor will be responsible for providing appropriate safety, health and accident prevention training for all the employees of Legacy Manufacturing. This person will also oversee the building and grounds maintenance to ensure the facility is clean, maintained according to compliance and company procedures.

Schedule:

• Full-Time
• 1st Shift (7:00 AM to 4:00 PM)

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Safety:
  • Conduct safety meetings, audits and inspections to ensure compliance
  • Identify corrective action and implement follow up assessments
  • Create and conduct health and safety training and presentations for all employees to complete
  • Collaborates with management to develop an Emergency Action Plan and serve as primary contact for project site injury and incident notification, investigation and case management.
  • Creates safety manuals, internal policies and procedures for all equipment on the operations floor
  • Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions
  • Build a culture of safety focused on reducing incidents and eliminating hazards
  • Train and certify production and warehouse employees in assessment procedures and safety behaviors
  • Maintain company compliance with OSHA, NFPA, DOT and FDA standards
  • Maintain OSHA 300 and 300A forms
• Facilities
  • Manage facility security cameras and export footage for investigations
  • Coordinate fire extinguisher inspection and monthly checks
  • Conduct natural disaster drills
  • Manage fire system maintenance testing and administration
  • AED management
  • First aid kit stocking and management
  • Post compliant safety signage around the facility
  • Manage SDS sheets
  • Oversee and agreeing contracts and providers for services including security, parking and cleaning
  • Ensuring that facilities meet regulations and environmental, health and security standards
  • Managing facility maintenance and emergencies

Qualifications:

• Education and Experience
  • Bachelor s degree required, Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety preferred
  • 3-4 years of experience with degree, 5-8 years of experience if degree is absent
  • Experience with safety within a manufacturing setting
  • Knowledge and experience in production and manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards and compliance
  • Knowledge of process improvement techniques
  • Knowledge of machines and tools
  • In-depth computer skills
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • OSHA Certified
  • CPR, AED, First Aid Certification
