This temporary position provides necessary analysis to minimize carrying cost while maximizing service levels and preventing obsolescence. The inventory analyst will manage deployment activities to optimize service to the customer by maintaining and enhancing T. Marzetti performance objectives. This includes researching, analyzing, and reporting pertinent data to assist in daily decision-making and larger strategic initiatives.
Monitor and reduce cost associated with overstocked and aged inventory, inclusive of monitoring shelf life, correspondence with sales, production/demand planning, and quality assurance to receive disposition
Perform analysis to identify opportunities for managing inventory through close collaboration with cross-functional teams (demand planning, operations, customer service, marketing, etc.)
Maximize utilization of both internal and external warehousing spaces by identifying the most effective inventory stocking strategy
Establish, deploy and monitor replenishment inventories to needed facilities in order to balance inventories
Monitor and reconcile inventories (lot codes & suffixes) and audit storage and handling invoices
Monitor, reconcile, and research inventory adjustments to ensure inventory accuracy
Creates and generates reports and performance analyses of KPIs
Working toward or have Bachelor’s degree in Math, Supply Chain, Finance, or other related discipline.
Background in master scheduling, forecasting, and planning.
Advanced competency in use of PC and Microsoft Windows environment. High-level competency in Microsoft Excel and Data Warehouse – requires professional experience using advanced Excel formulas, graphing and pivot tables.
Competent use of Microsoft Office computer applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook along with AS400 and Data Warehouse platforms.
Advanced understanding of logistics, transportation, inventory and warehousing industries.
Strong analytical abilities, effective organization and time management skills
