Role: Hadoop Admin

• Deploy Hadoop(Bigdata) cluster, Comm/decommissioning of nodes, track jobs,
monitor services like zookeeper, hbase, SOLR indexing, configure name-node HA,
schedule, configuring backups & restore
• To develop script to review logs and alert us in case of long running
queries.
• Configuration of Hadoop components such as hive, BigSQL, Active Directory
profiles, clusters, nodes, ambari servers, ambari slave agents for effective hadoop
cluster monitoring & Bigdata servers.
• Writing automation scripts to automate application deployment, configuring
CRON /MAESTRO job for scheduling jobs
• Configuring SSL security in Hadoop clusters with respect to bigdata
applications servers
• Unix/Database Administration experience in Hadoop big data platform
• Experience in Hadoop software installs and upgrades, with ability to setup HA
• Experience in SOLR and Hbase tuning
• Good knowledge in Shell Scripting and experience in working with Linux
platform
• Strong in troubleshooting skills for performance issues and implementing the
solutions
• Hadoop Administrator to assist in managing a large scale 7x24x365 Hadoop
cluster environment.
• Responsible for managing large scale production systems utilizing one or more
of the following (Hadoop, HBase).
• Install/upgrade Hadoop big data platform and implement security for Hadoop
big data platform
• Review the new patches design and develop new tools for process improvements
prepare SOPs for product installations, upgrades and any other new process
• setup best practices for monitoring
• Analyze Hardware, Software requirements for the projects assist Build team
with Environment requirements

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $68.00 – $70.00 per hour

Schedule:
8 hour shift
Day shift

Cary, NC 27511: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:
Informatica: 1 year (Preferred)
SQL: 1 year (Preferred)
Data warehouse: 1 year (Preferred)
