The ideal candidate can be new to assembly with an eagerness to learn or someone with experience. The candidate should excel at functioning in a team environment and following directions and process so that we can provide finish hose assemblies based on customer specifications and deadlines.

Essential Functions:

• Cut and coil Industrial Hose Fabrication to precision lengths and dimensions
• Crimp and couple hose to produce hose assemblies
• Test for compliance to order specification
• Package and prepare for UPS and LTL shipping
• Elimination of defective and wasted materials and optimization of processes and procedures
• Maintain a safe work environment through enforcement and cooperation of general safety rules and proper machinery operation
• Perform all shop order transactions on a timely basis to ensure delivery of finished goods within committed lead times
• Pressure test hose assemblies to specific pressure levels on test bench
• Adhere to safety rules

Additional Responsibilities:

• Assume certain responsibilities in the absence of the Shop Foreperson
• Process improvement through observation, suggestions and cooperation with management
• Provide assistance in the production and packaging within the Industrial Department

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 years hose or other fabrication experience
• Ability to lift 50-75 pounds regularly
• Ability to work inside Warehouse or outside
• Shop Machine Operation
• Team Player Skills
• Must be able to meet all Department Productivity Standards
• Mathematical Aptitude
• Technical Knowledge
• Mechanical Knowledge
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) Skills
• Attention to Detail

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

• Warehouse environment that requires the ability to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity and cold. May involve some repetitive motions. May also engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, pushing and pulling to make product. May have to move materials up to 50lbs as part of the position and/or stand on feet for long periods of time. May have to move boxes and push/pull hose reels over 100lbs.
• May also include daily use of wrists, hands, fingers, arms to use computer and phone. Ability to hear and speak clearly for gathering and giving simple to complex information to a group.
